Call me, please... somebody! NOW!!!!!

A TV station in Romania must be on the look-out to recruit a new presenter, after the previous incumbent threw a tantrum live on air when none of her viewers called in on a quiz show.

Presenter Adele Lupse smashed her phone on the ground, jumped up and down on it and screamed repeatedly, Bob Geldof-like, at the camera: “I want the phone to ring now. Now! Call me now!!” Following her outburst — and subsequent sacking — Ms Lupse explained: “Maybe I was a bit over the top but I wanted to get people to call. There’s a lot of pressure to get people to call in with the correct answer. It was a bad day.”

Perhaps she should look at a change of career and retrain to be a celebrity chef.
