Business Link has set up a website for guidance for firms affected by the Icelandic volcanic ash cloud.

The eruption, which began in Iceland on 20 March, has disrupted travellers across Europe due to the volcanic ash cloud grounding flights.

The site includes information and links to further sources of advice on:

  • what to do if staff are stranded overseas
  • import and export suspensions implications
  • possible health implications to staff
  • what you should do if you can’t attend offshore trade shows, events and meetings
  • business continuity planning
  • managing risk
