BraveNewTalent expands into the US

Social recruiting platform BraveNewTalent.com has established a US presence following venture capital investment.

Social recruiting platform BraveNewTalent.com has established a US presence following venture capital investment.

The expansion into the US comes as BraveNewTalent takes part in the UK government-backed WebMission 2011, which will see the firm alongside 18 others explore opportunities for growth with key investors, potential partners and other stakeholders in Silicon Valley.

BraveNewTalent’s international expansion plans are also being supported by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI).

At the start of 2011 BraveNewTalent secured venture capital funding from Northzone Ventures and two experienced angels – Pierce Casey and Mike Bourne, and has used this capital to help fund the US expansion.

As part of the expansion, BraveNewTalent has hired Maren Hogan as head of marketing in the US who was previously chief marketing officer of RecruitingBlogs.com.
