Professional staffing recruitment consultancy Barclay Meade, part of the Matchtech Group, has launched an actuarial division.

The division has been introduced as the company benefits from increased demand for actuarial professionals due to Solvency II, the EU-legislation affecting the insurance industry, that is due to come into effect on 31 December 2012.

Principal consultant, Eve Hartridge will lead the division.
