A newly launched ‘one-stop shop’ of services that will recruit, vet and train workers for airport services is already garnering interest among prospective clients, according to Liz Cusack, general manager (South) for specialist recruitment firm right4staff.

The Aviation Solutions offering grew out of an intensive airside management programme, run by the firm from January to May this year at London Heathrow airport. The programme involved 400 workers who needed five-year background/reference checks to work at Terminal 5.

Cusack told Recruiter that the most challenging reference check the company had encountered to date involved 17 references over a five-year period.

The range of services available from this week includes BAA Security Clearance Management, the supply of temporary workers, permanent recruitment and security awareness training. Clients can choose any or all of the options.
