Aston Taylor manages agencies
Chunz: font of new vacancies
A rec-to-rec recruiter is introducing a managed agency service for its clients.
Vic Chuntz, chief executive officer of Aston Taylor, told Recruiter the company launched the scheme — meaning any other rec-torec agencies wishing to work with the clients will apply through Aston Taylor — to capitalise on its business development experience as the market shifts focus from candidate to client.
“We are able to provide [recruiters in the scheme] a font of new vacancies and clients without them having to do anything,” he explained.
Chuntz said rec-to-rec recruiters must work together to secure good candidates as the talent pool increased in depth. “There are more potential
candidates on the market, so it’s even harder to find the right people,” he said.
David Brown, managing director of Target Law, an Aston Taylor client, is about to make offers to several consultants it met through the new offering. “The advantage is they manage the process on your behalf, so you don’t have to deal with hundreds of agencies. They have saved us a huge amount of time and administration,” he told Recruiter.
The new service has allowed Aston Taylor to capitalise on its marketshare, Chuntz said: “You have to be of a certain size to contemplate
offering this. It’s a pretty expensive operation to roll out and it’s a longterm plan.” Four full-time consultants are assigned to the service.
The agreements between rec-to-rec agencies and Aston Taylor are contract free and can be arranged vacancy by vacancy
