Specialist PR and communication recruiter VMA Group has appointed Julia Meighan to the newly created role of executive chair.

Meighan will be responsible for leading the group’s international expansion, as well as special projects in talent management within the corporate communications sector.

Meanwhile, Claire Tuffin has been promoted to group managing director and will take charge of the day-to-day running of the business, whileNina Arnott joins as head of VMA group’s external communications practice. She joins from McDonald’s corporation where she was interim European communications director.

The group says it is likely to expand overseas. With international operations in Brussels and a partnership in Washington, the firm adds it will “continue to look for opportunities overseas”.
