Marketing and HR recruitment firm The Stopgap Group has appointed Andy Young as head of commercial partnerships, in a new senior role to focus solely on developing and managing relationships with RPOs, MSPs and other third-party businesses.

Young moves from his role within the Stopgap business as a senior consultant in the FMCG sector.

Gareth Jones, Stopgap’s leader of marketing and IT, said that “a number” of the group’s clients had outsourced recruitment activity to third parties over the last five years.

“Consequently, a significant proportion of our business is being done through these companies, and we wanted to recognise that these RPOs and MSPs were important customers too.”

Young adds: “We already have some very good relationships with these organisations and work hard to meet our objectives with them through service-level agreement and KPIs. However, we believe that there is a missed opportunity to work more proactively across the wider business, building on our existing relationships and exploring new ones too.”
