Executive search firm Hitchenor Wakeford has appointed Richard Mathias as partner to head its HR practice

Mathias, previously a partner at law firm DWF, where he led new business development, will develop new relationships at HR director level to generate new business opportunities across all sectors as well as working within the firm’s established consumer retail practice, focusing on the leisure sector.

Managing director John Wakeford says: “Richard brings extensive legal experience, essential for his role working with HR Directors, and a wealth of contacts across various sectors in both the North West and across the UK.

“He will further develop our HR practice as part of our continued expansion this year, as businesses across all sectors look to address executive bench strength to take advantage of new business opportunities in the post-recession market.”
