Appointments: G4S appoints MD for new division

International security solutions provider G4S Secure Solutions has appointed Steve Bailey as managing director of its new employment screening and vetting division.

International security solutions provider G4S Secure Solutions has appointed Steve Bailey as managing director of its new employment screening and vetting division.

Bailey is the founder of RwC (background checking) and a founder of NAPBS (National Association of Professional Background Screeners) Europe and will be charged with developing the business into a market leader in the global screening industry.

Bailey says: “The financial and legal ramifications of employing individuals that have not been screened or vetted adequately have escalated dramatically in the last five years, as a result of statutory regulation and an increasing number of civil litigation claims.

“Companies are increasingly conscious of the need for comprehensive employee screening services and G4S, having performed this task for over 20 years in relation to its own employees, is in a uniquely experienced position to meet these requirements.”
