AGR chair Perrin joins French BNP Paribas
Terence Perrin, the chair of the Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR), has joined investment bank BNP Paribas to head up both its European campus recruitment and UK experienced hire recruitment.
Perrin, who has been chair of the AGR since 2007, was formerly head of recruitment & resourcing EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) at JP Morgan Asset Management for seven years. He has also worked at KPMG, the National Audit Office, Watson Wyatt and Dresdner Kleinwort. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Perrin’s first exposure to the AGR was through his involvement in the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services International Students Committee. He was elected to the AGR board in 2002, becoming finance director in 2003 and vice-chair in 2006.
Elaine Arden has been appointed group head of human resources at the Royal Bank of Scotland Group with effect from 1 October. Arden is currently HR head for RBS Business Services, the bank’s largest division with more than 43,000 staff in over 45 countries. Arden will succeed Neil Roden, who announced earlier this year that he was stepping down after 10 years in the role.
Clay and starch firm English Indian Clays has appointed Praneet Mehrish as senior vice president HRD. Mehrish has led the HR function with organisations including Eicher Goodearth (Research & Development Centre), Apollo Tyres, Oracle Software, ST Microelectronics and Essar Steel. Indian executive search firm 3P Consultants carried out the search.
Marketing and HR recruitment firm The Stopgap Group has appointed Andy Young as head of commercial partnerships. This new role will focus on developing and managing relationships with RPOs, MSPs and other thirdparty businesses. Young moves from his role within the Stopgap business as a senior consultant in the FMCG sector.
Accountancybased service provider JSA has promoted Sarah Woodruff to director. Woodruff joined JSA in 2008 as head of operations and has spearheaded a number of internal projects. She also played a major role in developing JSA’s customer care team through training.
Sport Structures Recruitment has appointed Gary Katzler as director and full board member. Founder of hospitality and leisure recruitment firm Berkeley Scott, Katzler will support the existing board members in delivering new service offerings and the company’s future development strategy.
Multi-sector recruiter Expand has appointed Kieran Donnelly to lead its digital media division. Donnelly has six years’ experience working within the digital marketfocusing on digital (non-creative) commercial, marketing and communications appointments.
Finance, technology and board-level recruiter Bowden Mayes has appointed Stephen Telford to head of its technology division.
Former head of learning and development at Badenoch & Clark, Julian Evans, has joined recruitment training provider Lander Associates (now part of Elite) as an executive consultant.
Multi-sector recruiter Morgan Hunt has appointed Matvei Gorbachev managing director of Morgan Hunt Russia. Previously head of the Moscow office, Gorbachev will have responsibility for the entire Russian business, which includes offices in Moscow and St Petersburg.
US retained executive search firm Raines International has expanded its senior management team with the appointments of Mary Lee Amendolia and Michelle Keenan Zangari as senior vice-presidents.
Global executive search and leadership consulting firm Heidrick & Struggles International has appointed John Armstrong partner in its Toronto office in Canada. Armstrong will work with the firm’s financial services and global technology & services practices, delivering executive search and related advisory services to Canadian businesses.
