Brown outlines reforms on agency work in draft legislation

Prime Minister Gordon Brown outlined reforms on agency work in his legislative programme for the next Parliamentary year yesterday.

Following Andrew Miller’s temporary workers Private Member’s Bill, Brown called for agency workers to be treated fairly, but assured business that he would not take any action that would jeopardise business.

In other workplace related measures, Brown announced a welfare reform bill to force the long-term unemployed on to training courses.
