Public sector recruiters should offer advice on on “good value” options for recruitment, according to Dean Shoesmith, president of the Public Sector People Managers Association (PPMA) and executive head of HR, London Boroughs of Sutton and Merton

Shoesmith told Recruiter: “Recruiters should provide good value for money, the ability to offer advice on good value options, innovation and effectiveness in approaches to recruitment – especially for hard-to-fill roles.”

“The sector needs greater investment in skills, and training will help equip the workforce to deal with transformed service delivery models, or to move successfully across sectors.”
