Accountants moving abroad due to concerns over economy

More accountants are leaving the UK to work abroad due to concerns over the UK economy, according to finance recruiter Ardent.

Aileen Vowden, chief operating officer, Ardent, said: “ Nine out of 10 accountants are attracted to the prospect of working overseas. Our international team has placed hundreds of chartered accountants overseas into the Big Four accountancy firms [PwC, KPMG, Ernst & Young and Deloitte], local independents and practice boutiques, as well as within financial services companies, both on a permanent or secondment basis.”
