Multi-sector recruiter Absolute Recruitment UK has acquired Bralin Recruitment for an undisclosed sum.

Bralin Recruitment, which operates mainly in the commercial and industrial sectors, will service businesses in North Cheshire and South Lancashire, adding to Crewe-based Absolute’s success in South Cheshire and Staffordshire, explains managing director Jessica Marshall.

“Bralin Recruitment has always had a reputation for providing a quality, ethical service,” says Marshall, “and this matches the ethos on which Absolute was built perfectly.” Absolute was founded in 2003.

Bralin’s current managing director, Pete McLoughlin, will step down from the business. Bralin was founded in 2000 and will continue to operate under its own name. It is based in Winsford, Cheshire.

NHS Trust plans to cut jobs and agency staff

The BBC reports today [30 April 2025] that the North-West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is planning job cuts, as well as cutting its expenditure on bank and agency staff.
