Eight in 10 female workers feel they are being underpaid, according to research from salary comparison site MySalaryChecker.com.

Eight in 10 female workers feel they are being underpaid, according to research from salary comparison site MySalaryChecker.com.

The research also shows a third (38.2%) of women thought they were underpaid by as much as 25%. Almost a third (32.9%) of female workers expect a pay rise of between 2% and 4% in 2011, compared with the expectations of male colleagues (28%).

Meanwhile, 31.3% of women suspect that colleagues at the same level get paid more than they do, while less than a quarter (23.4%) of men admitted to the same suspicions.
