With the current economic cycle, the property industry should provide rich pickings over the next five to 10 years, especially in London, according to David Clubb, newly-appointed chief operating officer of property recruiter Deverell Smith Recruitment (DSR).

In London in particular, new projects will need people with a variety of skill sets across the construction and property space, he says. As if to illustrate the point, in the background of the video below, cranes working on the development of rail project Crossrail can be seen from DSR’s offices in Centrepoint, Central London.

Speaking to Recruiter, the former managing director of commercial and secretarial recruiter Office Angels said that having touched upon a broad range of industry sectors in his previous roles, he was able to move to a different sector specifically because he saw this growth potential.

And he also told Recruiter there was a personal interest in property, which motivated the switch. Hear what he has to the say in the video below:
