Armed Forces bank Navy Federal Credit Union is to create 400 new jobs by expanding its members services operation in Frederick County, Virginia.

The bank currently employs 500 people at that facility and has 220 branches worldwide.State governor Bob McDonnell approved a $250k (£160k) grant to assist the county with the project, and the state will also provide funding through the Virginia Jobs Investment Programme, having competed with another location in Florida for the investment.

NHS Trust plans to cut jobs and agency staff

The BBC reports today [30 April 2025] that the North-West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is planning job cuts, as well as cutting its expenditure on bank and agency staff.
