Specialist Singapore-based recruitment consultancy Red The Consultancy has joined forces with marine recruitment services provider Clyde Marine Recruitment to open Red The Consultancy (Europe). Based in Glasgow, the new venture will focus on shore-based recruitment for the shipping and oil and gas industries, as well as recruitment services for the supply chain and logistics industry.

David Livingstone, former owner and founder of Glasgow-based Clyde Group, and Ian Livingstone, owner and managing director of Clyde Marine Recruitment, will now jointly own Red’s Asia-Pacific and European operations alongside Red’s managing director Tracey Shearer and directors Henry Ferreira, Dag Rømmen, Kjetil Gulliksen and Steffen Tunge.

“When we set up Red in Singapore we had a vision to expand globally and we are therefore excited about the opening of our Red (Europe) office,” says Shearer.

Livingstone says: “The opening of Red (Europe) fits well with our expansion plans for Clyde Marine Recruitment, which will include the opening of a sea-going desk in Singapore, and will enable us to join forces with a strong player in specialist marine recruitment.

“With both divisions operating from our network of European and Singapore offices we now have the ability to offer employers and candidates a complete recruitment service for sea-going and shore-based positions across all disciplines.”

Clyde Marine Recruitment and Red will operate in partnership from offices in the UK, Poland, Latvia and Singapore.
