Germany has for a while been the strongest country for online job growth across Europe, but in July it was the only country to register any growth at all, find’s job site Monster’s European Employment Index.

The study, which surveys trends across a large number of corporate careers sites and job boards, including Monster, saw a 13% year-on-year rise in online recruitment activity in Germany, with Sweden registering an unchanged level and the other five nations in the study showing a decline: Belgium (4%), France (10%), Italy (1%), The Netherlands (18%) and the UK (3%).

Month-on-month, overall levels of online recruitment were unchanged, following two consecutive months of a 1% decline.

Three sectors saw increases in online job activity of 10% or more: environment, architecture and urbanism (16%), education, training and library (11%) and telecommunication (10%).
