FINANCIALS: UK & Ireland leads Adecco revenue growth

International recruitment group Adecco’s UK & Ireland division saw the strongest revenue growth of any geographic division other than its emerging markets in the first half of 2012, at 8% when adjusted for constant currency.

International recruitment group Adecco’s UK & Ireland division saw the strongest revenue growth of any geographic division other than its emerging markets in the first half of 2012, at 8% when adjusted for constant currency.
Revenues in the first six months of 2012 totalled £929m in the UK & Ireland region, up from £817m previously. Across the whole group, revenues were marginally up (by a 1% margin) in total, but down 1% at constant currency.However, operating income for the UK & Ireland dropped 7% at constant currency to £14m, although this is not as dramatic a drop as that seen in France (28% down), the market making up a quarter of Adecco’s operations, or Italy, the Benelux and Switzerland, which also saw operating profit drop by more than 20%.
