Global recruiter Kelly Services saw a drop of 3% in its revenues in Q2 compared to the same period in 2011, down to $1.4bn (£895m).

But earnings from operations were up from $21.3m last year to $23.8m.President and chief executive Carl T Camden says: “Despite tepid economic growth in the US and recessionary conditions across much of Europe, Kelly made positive strides in the second quarter.”
