Kate Bleasdale, the founder of Healthcare Locums has confirmed that she is going ahead with her appeal against the employment tribunal decision in her £12m unfair dismissal case. Bleasdale tells Recruiter: “The appeal has been received and is going through.”
Bleasdale failed in her unfair dismissal employment case against her former employer after a 15-day long tribunal in April.
In its written judgement, the tribunal said it found “to a degree” that Bleasdale “directed, encouraged and/or condoned” the deliberate falsification of accounts, and concluded that “HCL was fully entitled to take the view that this was gross misconduct which warranted the sanction of dismissal.”
However, after the tribunal Bleasdale told Recruiter that “justice hasn’t been done.”
