In-house recruiters are often more “global animals” than employees in other areas of a business – and this propensity can be harnessed when trying to create an efficient international recruitment operation.
This is the view expressed by Christoffer Ellehuus, managing director of research and advisory firm the Corporate Executive Board (CEB), in the second and final part of a video interview series with Recruiter, coinciding with a special report on a piece of research from the CEB in the July edition of Recruiter.Ellehuus describes that in-house recruitment teams are as ever keen to find out “how can I be smarter with the things I already have”, and how to be “less dependent” on outsourced providers such as recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) firms and agencies. He talks about the use of the global predisposition of recruitment staff in this video:
In the first part of the video interview, he had told Recruiter that when managing an expanding global resourcing and recruitment operation, the traditional areas for driving efficiencies “don’t matter that much” – in fact the broader, strategic picture is far more important.
