Many heads of resourcing are criticised by agencies for limiting relationships with the hiring manager, but allowing suppliers to truly connect with the business in “a controlled fashion” is key to the in-house recruiter’s relationship with his or her agency partners.

This is the view of Gary North, the London and EMEA head of resourcing at interdealer broker and risk and information services firm ICAP, who described the goals of the company’s new in-house resourcing department on p5 of July’s edition of Recruiter, out last week.

In previous videos he had described the challenges of defining the new department and its broader aims to the rest of ICAP.
