Over half (55%) of new benefits claimants who go through the Work Capability Assessment (WCA) are found fit for some form of work, according to the latest figures from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Over half (55%) of new benefits claimants who go through the Work Capability Assessment (WCA) are found fit for some form of work, according to the latest figures from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Of the 45% eligible to receive the employment and support allowance (ESA), just under half, or 20% of all applicants, were found to be potentially capable of some work given the right support.
