The operator of McDonald’s restaurants in the central, eastern and northern regions of Saudi Arabia will hire 1,000 people to staff new outlets over the next few years, according to Arab News.

The operator of McDonald’s restaurants in the central, eastern and northern regions of Saudi Arabia will hire 1,000 people to staff new outlets over the next few years, according to Arab News.
The company in question, Riyadh International Catering Company, and its president, Prince Mishal bin Khaled Al-Saud, says it says it will put Saudi nationals first in recruiting for the new jobs. Currently, it has over 1,000 nationals on its payroll out of a total of 3,500 staff, he says.The new jobs would be open only to males, the Prince tells the paper, as “Our current operational structures allow us to only hire males. However, we do employ some females in our restaurants, which only cater to females, specifically those restaurants located in ‘Ladies Malls’.”
There are over 120 McDonald’s restaurants in Saudi Arabia, with the first opening in 1993.
