Risk assessment and assurance firm the Lloyd’s Register Group has appointed Greg Allen as global head of resourcing.

Allen was previously head of recruitment at telecoms firm Nokia for the past three years, and tells Recruiter that switching industry “was definitely something I’ve wanted to do… that was quite important to me”.He has also recruited for agency Modis International and in the resourcing centre of bank Merrill Lynch.

Allen also tells Recruiter that working with a company that is 252 years old and looking to modernise and enter new sectors is a challenge: “My responsibility in the recruitment space is how do we maintain that class and experience while getting them to understand Generation Y and the different tools people use.”
