A disagreement over the number of engines supplied by BMW is forcing Land Rover to cut back production of its best-selling Freelander model by around 12 per cent. Ford, which bought Land Rover last year after BMW broke up and sold its Rover operations, and BMW are in discussions about raising the annual supply from 32,000 units to 50,000 units.
