Shareholders at hospitality recruiter Berkeley Scott have voted at an EGM to agree to a deal that will see an injection of £2.5m into the company. John Bowmer and Tony Reeves, former chief executives at Adecco and Hotgroup respectively, will become co-chairmen of the company and are putting up the cash for a 62.6% stake (Recruiter, 10 January).

More than half the people interviewed for a job they found on the internet were successful in getting that particular job, according to the National Online Recruitment Audience Survey (NORAS) 2007.

It reported that emailing a CV is the most popular way to apply for a job (38%), followed by completing an online application form (31%).
