An 8.30am meeting with my finance director to review figures and status of a possible acquisition, then catch up with my PA to review the week's agenda.

Clients, candidates and friends attended a send-off party at the London’s Embassy Club for fashion recruiter Dee Walker, co-founder of Hudson Walker International, who is retiring after 20 years in the business. Dee is off to pursue a more leisurely lifestyle in southern Spain.

We're always excited to see the innovative services and products launched by recruitment agencies, but one Recruiter team member was a little surprised to receive a Select goodie bag on London Bridge Station. Inside was a sample of Select's newly launched own-brand stationery, cosmetics and confectionary products (and leaflets for a jobs exhibition).
Construction and logistics recruiter Mango Solutions has launched a new website.
However much I prepare on Sunday evening, Monday morning is always an adrenaline rush, fuelled by getting my daughter Kitty (and her usual multitude of kit) to the school bus on time.
