The UK has demonstrated the highest increases in candidate confidence, according to a global survey from recruitment giant Randstad.

The latest quarterly Workmonitor survey reveals in Q1 two thirds of UK employees (64%) are confident that they could secure comparable work with a different employer within six months, up 8% on Q4 2010.

Commercial and industrial recruiter, Blue Arrow, has opened a new branch in Harrow, North-West London.

Branch manager Andrew Wadding heads up the operation. Offering temporary, contract, permanent, outsourced and full-managed account solutions, the branch also boasts an operations manager with more than 20 years’ recruitment experience.

Demand for management level hires fell by 10.1 points in May from April, according to the latest CareerCast.com/JobSerf Employment Index.

However, the reading remains 11.5 points higher than a year ago.

Tony Lee, publisher, CareerCast.com, says: “The decrease in hiring this month is a slight setback in the recovery we have been seeing throughout 2011.

The board of education support services firm Tribal Group has announced that it is no longer in discussions with any party regarding a potential offer for the company.

In a statement, the firm says it has received confirmations from each party with whom it was in talks that they are no longer considering an offer for the company.

Financial and insurance recruiter Highams Systems has continued to see improved demand for its services as it revenues rise, according to its interim results for the six months ended 30 September 2010.

The group’s results reveal:

· revenue £4.41m (2009: £3.77m) up 17%

· gross profit £770,000 (2009: £572,000) up 35%
