Bristol-based IT recruitment firm Redrock Consulting is launching a web portal next month that allows clients to hire contractors direct, which it claims could save around 33% on recruitment costs.

Hotel firm Travelodge is creating 700 new jobs in the UK through the construction of 35 hotels this year.

Eight of the hotels will be in London, three in Birmingham, with other hotels being constructed in Manchester, Cardiff, Liverpool, Bristol, Lancaster, Canterbury, Cambridge and Hull.

International recruitment has fallen, according to the latest Antal Global Snapshot.

Big fish, which started trading in 2002, places creative and marketing professionals in both the agency world and large blue chip companies.

Big fisher founder Nicola Kleinmann now joins the team of directors at Nakama.
