Professional body for interim managers, the Institute of Interim Management, has appointed Andrew Munro as director.

A chartered management accountant by profession, with a background in the technology sector, Munro specialises in ideas, words and numbers, and supports organisations in developing their strategy, business plans and messaging.

Talent management provider Lumesse’s Lumesse Mobile is now available for Android.

These can be downloaded at Apple iOS and BlackBerry app stores.

The mobile application offers instant access to key information about candidates, jobs, interviews, colleagues and hiring processes.

Financial services IT recruiter Cititec has appointed Max Anderson as account manager. 

Anderson joins from IT recruiter Huxley Associates and will work on major managed accounts.

Social care recruiter SWIIS has signed a deal to install software provider Safe’s Front Office and web portal software.

The deal includes Safe’s fully AWR ready Front Office solution, e-time, e-expenses and mobile time capture solution.

Global recruiter Hays has encountered “robust” trading for the quarter ended 30 September, according to an interim management statement.

Recruitment coaching firm Recruitment Business Solutions is to launch.

The firm, which will provide mentoring, business advice and coaching services for the recruitment industry, is led by Alison Kennedy, who previously ran the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) consultancy arm.

The Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) has appointed Claire Adams as its new business operations manager.

Adams joins the AGR from Nestlé UK, where she was a resourcing lead. She previously worked as the graduate programme manager for Schroders Investment Management.

Four in 10 employers believe that their staff are more productive now than pre-recession, a survey by jobs board CareerBuilder finds.

However, 36% of employers also feel that their workers are experiencing burnout.

Almost half of international companies do not believe they have the talent required to implement their strategy, according to a survey published by global recruiters Grafton Employment Group.

However, while 48% of companies feel they have a talent shortage, only 44% believe that this talent shortage is one of their business’s top three obstacles to achieving its goals.

The number of people leaving their primary occupation between April and June this year was 674,000, or around 2.4% of the UK workforce, a drop of 42% from the peak of 1.17m in 1998, according to Office for National Statistics (ONS) data.
