The demand for staff with Japanese language skills has increased four fold in the financial services sector, according to multilingual staffing specialist Euro London Appointments.
Job demand has risen across the UK, according to the latest Reed Job Index.
The Index saw the number of new jobs on offer across the UK increase by three points, posting a reading of 107.
The number of applicants per job has also risen but salaries for new jobs dropped to last month to give a Reed Salary Index reading of 94, two points below last month.
As the country emerges from recession, recruiters are choosing to stay put rather than seeking pastures new, according to Samantha Woodland, senior HR business partner at Kelly Services.
