Multi-sector recruiter Omega Consultancy Services is extending its training service for newly unemployed professionals nationally, following a successful partnership with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).

Robert Thesiger has resigned as chief executive of the Imprint Group, according to a statement released late yesterday by the board of recruitment services firm Premier Group, Imprint’s parent company.
Colin Webster, Imprint’s chief financial officer, has also stepped down, the statement said.
Both have also resigned from their positions on the Premier Group board.
Energy giant British Gas has announced it will expand its green workforce in 2009, with the creation of 1,400 jobs.
Stephen Nickson, managing director of energy sector recruiter DATS, told Recruiter: “We would love to work on the project. Anything of this magnitude will hopefully trickle down and encourage other project to come online.”
