Back office solutions provider to the recruitment industry Liquid Friday has appointed Malin Eek as Southern account director. Eek was previously a portfolio manager for invoice financing at RBS.

Elsewhere Mark Slane, ex-Parasol, joins Malin as the Northern account director, while Jon Sanger assumes the role of operations manager based at the firm’s Portsmouth head office.

Software and services provider Safe Computing has launched its dedicated credit control products and services website, as part of its rebranding exercise from Topaz Credit Control to Safe Credit Control.

The move follows the firm’s recent acquisition of Topaz by Safe Computing. 

UK workers are finding it tough to take time off, according to a new survey from international recruiter Randstad.

While UK unemployment has fallen, caution remains among candidates and employers alike.

IT recruiter Redrock Consulting has seen a 30% increase in fee income for the first half of the year.

Accounting firm Deloitte plans to hire 250,000 staff during the next five years as it seeks to benefit from rising global demand for regulatory scrutiny and risk management.

The company will hire about 40,000 people globally this year, chief executive Jim Quigley said, 2,600 of whom will be employed in Britain.

The data also shows that 60% are concerned about loss of reputation as a result of Web 2.0 misuse.
