A quarter of people are struggling into work, despite feeling ill, according to a survey from business psychology company Robertson Cooper.

The survey of 39,000 UK workers found that half reported good health, while the rest described their health as ‘alright’ or ‘poor’.

Senior executives are enduring pay freezes with typically only finance directors enjoying a pay rise this year, according to Watson Wyatt’s 2009 Executive Reward Survey.

Pay has been frozen for two thirds of workers, while one in 10 have lost their jobs in the Gulf region, according to new data from online recruitment firm GulfTalent.com.

Average salary increases across the six Gulf countries over the year to August 2009 fell to 6.2% compared with 11.4% over the same period in 2008.

Industrial recruiter Innov8 Recruitment has strengthened its team and moved to new offices.

Ex-army officer Aaron Croke, who saw action in both Iraq and Afghanistan,  has joined as a consultant and will supply temporary workers, while Katie Mullen, will takes over our payroll and finance functions.
