Workwell expands in North America with acquisition of Eastridge Workforce Management

Global human capital management (HCM) and employer of record (EOR) services provider Workwell Group has acquired Eastridge Workforce Management (EWM).
Based in San Diego, California, EWM, a major tech-enabled employer of record (EOR) services provider, was part of Eastridge Workforce Solutions. This carve-out acquisition follows Workwell’s recent acquisition of PGC Group in April 2024 and represents another significant step in its strategy to accelerate growth and expand its footprint in North America, the world’s largest hiring market.
The acquisition brings the group’s total revenue to more than $2bn (£1.6bn), with around $400m of revenue and over 40% of group management fees generated from North America, further solidifying the company’s dominant position in the region.
John Hoskin, CEO of Workwell, said: “We are excited to welcome the EWM team to the Workwell Group. […] This acquisition significantly strengthens our North American operations and deepens our client base, positioning us for accelerated expansion in this critical market.”
The acquisition of EWM represents the second major transaction for Workwell in less than a year following the acquisition of PGC Group, bringing its total headcount to more than 500 employees with more than a quarter of those based in North America.
Eastridge Workforce Solutions’ Recruitment and Staffing business are not associated with the transaction, according to a Workwell company statement. Eastridge Workforce Recruitment (EWR) remains an independent company, focusing on its 50+ year history as a staffing and recruiting company.
