FINANCIALS: FDM Group update reveals fall in revenue

Global professional services provider FDM Group has reported that it expects to achieve £258m revenue for financial year 2024 when it issues its full-year results in March.

That’s 23% down in comparison to 2023, when its end-of-year revenue added up to £334m.

The company, which focuses on information technology, also reported that 2,578 consultants were placed with clients in 2024, compared with 3,892 deployed in 2023. The 2024 figure was “a lower level… than previously anticipated”, the update said.

“Against a continuing backdrop of very challenging market conditions, the group delivered a resilient performance in 2024,” FDM said in a statement. “Throughout the period, the board maintained its focus on realigning recruitment, training, consultant resource and internal staffing levels to better match with the market conditions; this included a reduced number of training completions during the year and a reduction in internal headcount of approximately 30%.”

In 2024, FDM saw 877 training completions, compared to 1,338 in 2023.

The group’s balance sheet showed a class balance of £41m, compared with £47m in 2023.
