Barr will be responsible for overseeing business operations and growth globally. 

This appointment comes after the newly launched Robert Walters strategy and unification of its three brands (Robert Walters, Resource Solutions and Walters People) into one single brand – Robert Walters.

According to Robert Walters, the company aims to be a global trusted talent solutions business and has set a strong growth agenda for its three service lines – specialist professional recruitment, recruitment outsourcing and talent advisory.

Barr has more than 20 years’ experience across Robert Walters, working within the specialist professional recruitment and recruitment outsourcing service lines. He was also a co-founder of Resource Solutions’ (previous brand name of recruitment outsourcing) Asia Pacific operations, where he spent 11 years growing the region’s portfolio. 

Before leaving Resource Solutions, and relocating to his home country of Australia, he was the Asia Pacific managing director. In recent years, Barr held senior executive roles at Korn Ferry and Allegis, most recently Allegis’s executive director APAC.

He will be based in Singapore from early next year.
