APPOINTMENTS: 29 JULY-2 AUGUST 2024

• Bristol-based recruitment company Baltimore Consulting has appointed Ailidh Van Wyk as associate director of client engagement, following a six-month secondment in the role. Van Wyk will be responsible for driving sales and delivering quality service to both new and existing clients across vulnerable subject areas in education and social care. She joined the business in 2016, starting her role in education.

• Recruitment firm Freshminds has promoted Edith Carmichael as director of search. Carmichael has been at the firm for seven years and will now lead the specialist search division. She will continue working in senior strategic and operational search, with projects ranging from discrete, targeted executive headhunting for top-tier individuals, to designing and delivering complex hiring programmes.

• UK independent parcel carrier Yodel has announced Alison Richardson as its new HR director. Richardson has over 20 years’ experience in human resources, delivering business improvements and managing relationships with key stakeholders. Previously Richardson led the HR business partner and recruitment teams at Yodel. In this new role, she will lead the full people division with overall responsibility for all 30 HR workstreams. The role will see her focus on organisation design, trade union relationships and ensuring colleagues continue to be provided with the support and opportunities for a successful career at Yodel.
