Death announced of Odro founder Ryan McCabe

Video recruitment software company Odro yesterday [24 June 2024] announced the sudden death of founder and CEO Ryan McCabe.

The news has prompted multiple tributes and messages online from throughout the recruitment sector to McCabe, who leaves a wife and family.

“We are truly heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Ryan McCabe, on Saturday 22 June 2024,” Odro said in a LinkedIn announcement. “Our loss is profound.

“Ryan was a dedicated family man, a great friend and an inspirational leader. Above all, he was a wonderful human being who brought light to everyone he met. Words cannot express how much he will be missed by us all.

“At this time, our heartfelt condolences and love go out to his entire family. They are in our every thought.

“Ryan was loved and admired by everyone in the Odro team, but his positive impact was felt far and wide across the entire global recruitment industry. The industry has lost one of its best.”

The company said it would announce later how McCabe’s legacy would be honoured.

In his last LinkedIn post, published six days ago, McCabe commented on how recovery from a sport injury was forcing him to slow down.

McCabe was Highly Commended in the Recruitment Industry Entrepreneur of the Year category at the Recruiter Awards 2021.
