Resource Finder’s radiologist recruitment in India gives better outcome for NHS trust

UK agency Resource Finder says its in-person recruiting trips abroad to bring on board medical staff for NHS trusts is resulting in “a better outcome for all parties”.

The UK-wide agency recently took a team from the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust to India to carry out recruitment and engagement activities, which led to the appointments of 13 consultant radiologists after hosting two interview days in Delhi and Mumbai, a company statement said.

Representatives of the trust met a shortlist of candidates face-to-face, providing candidates the opportunity to learn more about potential future careers, to discuss relocation processes and pay directly with prospective employers. It also allows the trusts teams to undertake in-depth clinical evaluation of a candidate’s knowledge and experience, Resource Finder said.

“There has been a huge increase of healthcare professionals being recruited from India since 2018. This has made the international recruitment market highly competitive and saturated. This in-person and guided approach… allows for a competitive edge for the trust, while championing pastoral care for those leaving their home country,” the statement went on to say.

The fee model for this service differs from a typical fee-per-appointment standard with a single service fee, the company said. “Generally, the cost of the recruitment trip becomes cost neutral with the appointment of just two candidates, and if more than two candidates are appointed, the service fee does not increase, therefore the cost saving can be significant.”

Resource Finder also recruits medical candidates from Africa, Europe, Jamaica, the Philippines and the UAE.
