Matrix wins bid with Lewisham and Southwark London councils

Comprehensive workforce solutions provider Matrix has announced its successful bid to work with both Lewisham and Southwark Councils in London.

Following an extensive three-month tender process, the recent victories underscore Matrix's drive to expand its presence in the South-East London region.

Southwark Council has partnered with Matrix to target qualified local candidates for administrative vacancies as part of its Southwark Works employability initiative. This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between jobseekers and opportunities within the council, fostering economic growth and empowerment within the community.

Southwark Council HR director Ben Plant noted a social value action plan that Matrix developed as part of its pitch as a key reason for its win of his organisation.

Courtney Richards, at Lewisham Council, highlighted Matrix's supply chain flexibility as a key factor in their decision, emphasising the benefits of retaining long-term incumbent agreements.
