• Executive search firm CJPI has partnered with The British Airline Pilots’ Association (BALPA) to lead their search for a new general secretary. BALPA and CJPI say they are looking for an individual who possesses a “wealth of practical leadership experience” in a “complementary environment” and who has experience in leadership roles within unions or membership bodies, along with “thorough knowledge” of the regulatory landscape. 

• Life Science People, a specialist recruitment firm in the life science sector, has secured a £4m investment from Silchester Partners as it continues with its global growth plans. In the last three years, Life Science People, founded in 2020 by David Spencer-Percival, has increased its headcount to almost 100 recruiters and opened new offices in London and Los Angeles. This new investment will see the business continue to grow, with plans to increase headcount to 1,000 recruiters globally. New offices are currently planned in Germany, Switzerland and further expansion in the US, with offices planned in New York and Miami.
