NEW TO THE MARKET: 22-26 MAY 2023

This week’s new launches include: FCSA

• The Freelancer and Contractor Services Association (FCSA) has launched a contractor payslip review initiative to educate and protect contractors and give them a voice in the industry. Umbrella employees can upload their payslip and reconciliation statement, which will be checked by FCSA via an independent payslip verification service. This will tell them if the calculations are correct, and ensure contractors are properly informed of the deductions their umbrella provider has made. As a result, they’ll be assured that they’re meeting their tax obligations.

It’s available to employees of any umbrella company, not just those who are FCSA Members. The service is also completely confidential, and the user’s identity will never be disclosed to umbrella companies without prior permission. Initially, results will be aimed to be given within seven working days.
