Jarell Group and Temp Source JVP aims to create largest logistics firm in West Midlands

Two West Midlands recruitment firms have announced a joint venture, which aims to create the region’s largest logistics jobs firm by 2028.

Workforce solutions specialist The Jarell Group has finalised the partnership with logistics recruiter Temp Source, to offer hundreds more permanent and temporary roles to professional drivers, managers and warehouse operatives within the transport and logistics sectors.

As a result of the JV, The Jarell Group’s James Cronin becomes executive chairman, working closely with Temp Source’s joint managing directors, Josh Allen and Aaron Hillman (pictured above, l-r).

The partnership will also see a series of new recruitment roles created in 2023 due to more than 500 professional HGV and light vehicle drivers registering in the past quarter alone.

Cronin, group commercial director at The Jarell Group, said: “The logistics and transport industries are thriving at present and operators are craving quality, trained and trustworthy people to take on a whole host of roles. That’s where recruiters with the best contacts and an eye for detail come in and why I think Temp Source will make a difference in the months and years as they want to provide genuine, highly-motivated people who have already passed rigorous testing.

“It is an exciting venture for us and I am delighted to be playing a key role in the strategy, development and delivery of the business going forward.”

Temp Source’s Josh Allen said: “Ultimately, we want to be the region’s largest logistics recruitment agency within five years. Working together to introduce new systems, processes and taking on the best people, is vital to making that a reality so having the team at The Jarell Group alongside us is a huge positive as we enter a new year.”

The Temp Source brand will remain in place as part of the agreement, with plans in place to relocate from its Edgbaston office to elsewhere in the city of Birmingham in the months ahead.

The Jarell Group provides workplace solutions for a whole host of companies and has offices in Worcestershire, Birmingham, London, Leeds and Walsall. Last year the company expanded by acquiring Nottingham firm KHS Personnel and York-based, Bridge Recruitment.
