Evolvient Capital gets backing from HSBC to expand internationally

The London-headquartered, human capital-focused group Evolvient Capital is set to expand its international portfolio of businesses following a seven-figure funding package from HSBC UK.

Evolvient Capital’s portfolio of businesses include the global recruitment group Hydrogen, as well as the UK-based change consultants Project Partners, and the US talent creation business Strategio. All three businesses are set to benefit from capital injections as a result of the funding. Additionally, the funding will be used to facilitate new investments in other, predominantly start-up and early stage, businesses, a press statement said.

John Hunter, managing partner at Evolvient Capital, said: “The help from HSBC UK has been invaluable in providing the development capital to enable us to accelerate our growth plans. This will create exciting opportunities for the continued development of our people, as well as enabling us to provide more great outcomes for our customers and deliver shareholder value.

“Working with HSBC UK meant we could leverage the bank’s global footprint and access cost-effective funding that was straightforward to acquire and provided by people we trust.”

Craig Parrett, relationship director at HSBC UK, said: “With businesses globally getting back on their feet, access to consultancy, training and recruitment services has been crucial. It’s great to see Evolvient Capital expand its businesses and strengthen its international portfolio with this investment.”

Evolvient Capital focuses on human capital-orientated businesses that work principally in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and professional services sectors.
