Howgate Sable brings travel expert Linfoot on board

Executive search firm Howgate Sable has brought experienced travel and tourism executive Jeannette Linfoot on board as an adviser to its travel and leisure practice.

Linfoot’s appointment is a key part of the firm’s plans to grow over the coming years, according to the recruiter. She will work closely with Howgate Sable’s travel team, led by partner Nick Irving, to support the firm’s clients in their hunt for new senior talent.

The firm has a 30-year history in senior level recruitment in the travel, tourism and aviation sectors and has worked with many household name brands to appoint key board members and senior executives.

Nick Irving, partner at Howgate Sable, said: “The travel and tourism sector has experienced a turbulent few years thanks to Covid-19, and the impending cost of living crisis is likely to heap further pressure on organisations. It’s vital that businesses in the sector invest in the right leadership to help them in their recovery.

“Jeannette has many years’ experience in senior roles in the travel and tourism sector and brings a wealth of on-the-ground knowledge, which in turn helps our clients in their search for the right person to propel their business forwards. I’m delighted to welcome her to the Howgate Sable team,” he said.

Earlier this year, Howgate Sable launched its first overseas branch – Howgate Sable Middle East – following an increase in international briefs. Linfoot and Irving will work closely with the Middle East team on their search mandates in the travel sector.
